EMDR Networking 808 began with the goal of connecting Hawaii EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) clinicians with each other and to continue educating clinicians in the use of EMDR through trainings, consultation, and the EMDR Certification process. We want to engage therapists in creative ways of serving their clientele and support them in their utilization of new skills in EMDR. Our ultimate goal is to strengthen the mental health services offered throughout the Hawaiian islands, ensuring everyone in our community has access to health and healing through EMDR therapy.
Dr. Cara Lucey, Psy D, and Kim Ala’ilima, LMFT, are EMDR Certified Therapists and Approved Consultants in Training. As community practitioners, as well as coaches and consultants for EMDR Basic Trainings, we believe in the value of local connections and resources.
We are honored to be involved with Hawaii’s EMDR Trainings, led by Dr. Terry Wade and Darlene Wade, LCSW, of EMDR Hawaii. The trainings are facilitated through EMDR Consulting; a clinically integrated use of EMDR developed by Roy Kiessling, and are composed of twenty hours of lecture and twenty hours of practicum. The fee of the training generously includes an EMDR Manual, Worksheets, and 10 hours of group consultation. Clinicians will leave the training ready to use EMDR interventions with clients, having already practiced multiple tools with their training partner.
