Basic Training Consultation – EMDR Consulting trained
Congratulations! If you are reading this, you may have finished your EMDR Basic Training.
Through EMDRConsulting.com, you have paid for 10 hours of group consultation after your Basic Training has been completed. You can do your ten hours of consultation with any Approved Consultant or Approved Consultant in Training with EMDR Consulting – this was included with the purchase of your training. For completion of your 10 hours of consultation, following training with EMDR Consulting, you can view our group consultation dates through our Google Calendar.
If you prefer individual consultation and would like to utilize your 10 hours, $25.00 will be credited to your fee, and an additional $50.00 will be due directly to the Consultant you choose to work with. Individual consultation will not be publicly published on the google calendar and you will need to contact the consultant directly to schedule an appointment time.
If you have not been trained through EMDRConsulting.com, you can still seek consultation with us, as we are trained in both the EMDR Institute model and EMDR Consulting model. However, EMDR Basic Trainings through the EMDR Institute DO NOT include your consultation payment fees and consultation payment will need to be directly arranged with the Consultant of your choice. Also, because the content of an EMDR Institute Basic Training is different from an EMDR Consulting Basic Training, please make sure to let us know so we can tailor consultation to your particular training.
Individual Consultation
If you have completed your training with an agency outside of EMDR Consulting, or have completed your 10 hours of consultation and would like ongoing support consultation can be scheduled with your choice of Consultant, at their availability. Your 10 hrs of consultation can be accessed through your account on EMDRCONSULTING. For additional faq’s you can read them here: EC FAQ’S
If you would like to pursue Certification in EMDR, you can contact the Consultant of your choice and discuss fees and EMDRIA requirements.
Certification
All information regarding certification comes from the EMDR International Association website. Clinicians are eligible to become EMDRIA Certified Therapists if they have an advanced degree from an accredited college or university, are fully licensed in their mental health professional field for independent practice and have two years of experience (minimum) in that field. Specific EMDR requirements include completion of an EMDR International Association approved training program in EMDR therapy, a minimum of 50 clinical sessions in which EMDR was utilized, and 20 hours of consultation in EMDR by an Approved Consultant. To maintain the credential, EMDR International Association Certified Therapists must complete twelve hours of continuing education in EMDR every two years.
